Newcastle have emerged as a club interested in former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with talks reportedly underway with the England striker.

The Magpies are looking for a new striker after Callum Wilson rejected a new contract to stay at the club. Calvert -Lewin, 28, left Everton when his contract expired last month after nine years at Goodison Park.
Eddie Howe and Newcastle are keen to add depth up front to help ease Alexander Isak’s goalscoring burden, particularly with the Red Devils competing in the Champions League next season.

Calvert-Lewin has been reported to be a target for Manchester United and Leeds in recent months, although the Premier League new boys are believed to have pulled out of the race due to his high wage demands.
After joining Everton in 2016, Calvert Lewin went on to score 71 goals in 274 appearances for the Toffees.
He said the decision to leave Goodison Park at the end of last season was ‘incredibly difficult.’
‘This isn’t something I chose lightly,’ he said on Instagram.
‘Everton has been my home since I was 19 years old.
‘It’s the place that saw potential in me, challenged me to grow and shaped me both as a footballer and as a man.’
